Places to Visit in Jaipur

Jaipur, the capital of the Land of the Kings, Rajasthan is indeed the vigorous blend of the old and the new culture. As the part of the Magnificent Golden Triangle, Jaipur is one of the most popular tourist destinations of India. This majestic city is surrounded by walls and gates and being soaked with the pink hue, hence called “The Pink City”. Ruled by the Rajput rulers in the medieval era, this City is home for so many UNESCO world heritage sites, forts, Havellis, heritage palaces and hotels and other monuments which add the gems in the crown of this city.

Some of the important places to visit in Jaipur include-

Amer Fort

Bolstered on the peak of the Aravalli ranges, the Amer fort is situated. This fort was built by Raja Man Singh in 1592 AD. It’s famous for its maze-like passages, serpentine stairs, several gateways and extraordinary architecture on the walls and gates of the fort. Situated at only 11 km from the City Jaipur, this fort was built in pink and yellow sandstones and bears important historical evidence on its own.

Nahargarh Fort

Embellished with intricate carvings and the work on stones, Nahargarh fort is one such splendid and amazing fort, built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh in 1734 AD on the Aravalli hills. The breathtaking views and picturesque beauty from the top of this fort is such a haven for the photography lovers. This place consists of separate places for both Royal women and men as “Zenna” and the “Mardana Mahal”. Another important sightseeing spot is the Nahargarh Biological park, which is a home for many exotic wildlife.
